What is the good life?

20 September 2025, Bastard 2025, Rosendal Teater, Trondheim

What is the good life? was a workshop within Bastard 2025 focused on how collective art, activism and action might move us towards a socially just and ecologically sustainable future.

Led by artist and activist Christophe Meierhans together with Klimakultur and local youth activists, the workshop used collective questioning to explore what a good life might be and to gather ideas for how people can begin moving towards it.

The Trondheim edition grew from Meierhans' longer project Not Frequently Enough Asked Questions, itself developed from The Good Life, first conceived in 2020. Rather than moving quickly towards answers, the project treats questions as a way of connecting everyday agency to larger ecological, political and social systems.
