Founded in 2015, Teenagers in Reykjavík brought challenging and experimental performing-arts approaches into conversation with young people in the city, empowering their voices and agency through significant collaborations with artists.
The November 2016 festival included Mammalian Diving Reflex, Elín Hansdóttir, Andri Snær Magnason, Ásrún Magnúsdóttir and Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson, with events across theatres, galleries, Harpa and the Iceland University of the Arts.
