Alexander Roberts and Ásgerður G. Gunnarsdóttir, through their directorship of Reykjavík Dance Festival, collaborated with Erna Ómarsdóttir, Valdimar Jóhannsson and a range of Icelandic and international artists and partners to realise the Reykjavík edition of FÓRN.
A special edition of Reykjavík Dance Festival was dedicated to the work and artists involved, with talks and satellite events around Iceland Dance Company’s Sacrifice: commanding new creations exploring the relationship between art and religion.
Artists included Ragnar Kjartansson, Margrét Bjarnadóttir, Bryce Dessner, Matthew Barney, Erna Ómarsdóttir, Valdimar Jóhannsson and Gabriela Friðriksdóttir.
