Nothing Special is a city-wide exhibition by Halvard Damm Laupstad built from a seemingly ordinary habit: spending weekends watching funny animal videos online.
Laupstad transforms these moments into colourful drawings in marker and ballpoint pen, capturing the instant just before a video becomes funny. The exhibition places the drawings not only in galleries but across everyday city spaces, from lifts and bus shelters to shop fridges and other unexpected locations.
The curatorial collaboration treats the ordinary as a site of attention: an exhibition dispersed through the city rather than contained by a single arts venue.
