FRONTING is a triple bill of solos that takes as its starting point the act of paying tribute to frontmen and frontwomen who don’t so much dance as move, wobble and shake.
Danced by two frontmen, Gunnar Ragnarsson of Grísalappalísa and Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson of Retro Stefson, and one frontwoman, Kata Mogensen of Mammút, the work pays particular attention to the legacy of bodies and movements of those who stand at the front, as well as the bodies and movements of those who stand before them.
